The Trip of our Dreams
Two Sisters, Greece, 2022
My Grandparents sent me and my sister Anna on Rick Steves’ “Athens and the Heart of Greece” tour for my high school graduation.
I had never traveled outside the country before, and I had never traveled without my parents before. My whole life, I had dreamed of going to Greece and experiencing the ancient culture of this great country.
Anna and I are great friends, and this was the trip of our dreams; a chance to go to Greece, a chance to take a Rick Steves tour, and a chance to travel together after being quarantined separately for much of the COVID pandemic.
Our trip met all of our expectations and more. It changed our lives, and since then, we’ve been looking for more and more opportunities to see the world together.
